No Time for Leisure; Teacups (a poem)

filling up your teacup

going round and round

white noise and tattered seats

riding musters a dusty sound

Oh god! my god! it just won’t stop

cotton candy and soda pop

my stomach’s gurgling

the wind whips my smirk

“Get that look off your face,

spill the tea and get to work.”
